Being abroad, I have close access to some of the most beautiful places for so cheap. About a week ago I came back from my week-long spring break trip. While planning the trip, our main goal was to escape Florence's cold and rainy weather. So we tried to go as south as possible while staying within our budget. We knew we wanted to stop in Greece, so we chose the southernmost island, Crete. Next, we viewed our options of what was flying out of Crete mid-week, and stumbled across Cyprus, an Island in the Mediterranean, right under Turkey. It was cheap and warm so we bought our tickets and packed our bags. Our itinerary was to stay in Chania, Crete from Sunday-Thursday and then head to Paphos, Cyprus for Thursday-Sunday. Our transportation and stay totaled around 300 euros, which was well worth the price.
My favorite day of this trip was Saturday, which was our last full day. We took a taxi ride 30-40 minutes north of Paphos to Lachi Port, where we hopped on a boat tour to the Blue Lagoons of Cyrpus. It was insanely beautiful, the water was crystal clear and we got to see Aphrodite's Bath along with other landmarks. Keep scrolling to see all the pictures from that day.
Here is a Visual Diary of my trip, Greece + Cyprus...
