#BeachDayMusts with Adore Me

The mid-summer heat is finally taking over (& it's hot af) which means it is the perfect time to take a trip to the beach.

Joining the conversation with +Adore Me, here are my #BeachDayMusts!

Cheeky Bottoms: This summer I'm all about cheeky bottoms and thong bikinis, whether it be a two-piece or a one-piece, as long as it is showing off the booty, I'm there. Adore Me has a wide range of swimwear, which makes finding the perfect suit for your beach day easy.
Tanning Lotion: I get my summer glow and tan by using Maui Babe Browning Lotion and it is a gem.
Shorts & Sandals: Having some type of cover-up to throw on before and after the beach is always good to have, especially if you find yourself in a cafe or shop. My go-to cover up is a pair of high-wasited jean shorts along with my bikini top and a cute pair of sandals. Sporting a dress as a cover up is another easy way to keep your outfit effortlessly cute and simple.
Journal/Book/Magazine: Having something to read or write in, is never a bad idea when relaxing on the beach. A good book or having my journal allows the whole tanning process to be a bit easier for me.
*Not pictured but very important*
-SUNSCREEN! never forget the importance of sunscreen and stay protected, I promise your skin will thank you later!
-WATER! Staying hydrated is so important, even when you aren't in the sun, your body needs water! I always like to infuse mine with lemon.

I hope your summer break has been treating you as good as mine has, safe travels!

Neutral in Knee-highs

An easy and cute way to wear knee high boots is to simply throw on an oversized sweater or sweater dress and walk out the door. To accessorize you could add a wide brimmed hat or a chunky necklace. This simple neutral look is perfect for this time of the year when the days are warmer. The sweater was thrifted but similar pieces can be found almost anywhere. The boots are Public Desires' "Linda Long Boots" in taupe, and I absolutely love them.

Feeling Fall

Walking around the chilly city, I chose an outfit that was easy, warm & cute (which is usually the goal). I wore my favorite oversized jean jacket from Zara over a cozy sweater for extra warmth. I threw on a comfy pair of black, distressed jeggings from Topshop, along with my black Steve Madden booties. To complete the look, I added a patterned scarf from Zara and a hat from Forever 21.
I hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful fall weather as much as I am!

Black on Black & Floral Print

Fall is finally here!! Although it's officially my favorite season, the cool weather hasn't quite arrived yet. Today was in the mid 70's, but the wind picked up later in the day and cooled down the temperature. To go to a quick dinner with friends, I grabbed a pair of black flowy short with crochet detail and paired it with a black high neck tank- both from Tilly's. I threw on a Forever 21 floral button up maxi dress and left the buttons open to create a short sleeve duster look. To finish the look I slipped on a pair of long beige socks and a pair of black knee high boots from target and a black hat from Pacsun.
Hope everyone is having a beautiful day!

70's Vibing

About 2 weeks ago I officially moved into Richmond, Virginia to study fashion merchandising in the arts program at VCU. There is so much to do in the city of Richmond and here at VCU, I have met so many people and I'm loving being here so far.
The temperature is still pretty hot but thankfully today it was a little cooler, gahbless. I'm really into the 70's vibe that's been going on and so today I decided to do denim on denim. I chose to wear a darker/medium wash button up skirt with a lighter wash collard button up crop top. I accessorized this outfit with one of my favorite chunky silver necklaces from forever 21, a black crossbody purse (also from forever 21) and black madden girl booties.
Fall is around the corner and I'm beyond excited because that is one of my favorite season to dress for, plus now that classes have started, I'm way over this heat & humidity.
Also, wanted to wish everyone good luck with going back to school and starting classes!

California dreamin'

A little update on my summer (which is sadly very close to over) after Ocean City I went up to NYC for two weeks to intern at my Aunts showroom. I do that internship every summer and as usual it was fun and a great learning experience. I'm very grateful to have that opportunity and to have such an amazing family.

I just recently got home from my first ever trip to California (ugh I'm in love). I traveled across the country with my best friend and was able to crash at a friends place (who I can't thank enough) in San Diego. We tried to explore as much of area as possible in the time we had. We met great people, ate delicious food and had an overall amazing 10 days.

Again, I wasn't able to get a lot of pictures of my outfits so here is my trip summed up as best I could.

A week in OC

This past week I was in Ocean City, Maryland with a couple of my closet friends to celebrate finally graduating high school. Our stay was only 4 days but we were able to do so many things while we were there and made the most of the short time we had. One of the girls I went on the trip with used to live in the area so we were able to stay with one of her friends for the time we were there. I wasn't able to get many outfit picture so I'm just going to share a bunch of pictures my beach week.

The trip was so much fun, we got to do so many things, I went parasailing (which is insane because if you knew me, you'd know I'm such a baby when it comes to things like that. But with that being said, I was pleasantly surprised to find it was not scary at all, It was actually amazing and definiatly worth it), met a lot cool people and ate delicious food.

Which reminds me, if you're ever in the area, I definitely recommend stopping by the Decatur Diner (a little bit of a drive but totally worth it) for breakfast and ordering "The Corey" (which I'm pretty sure is one of the best things I've eaten) or the Pipeline or honestly anything, It was all so good, and I wish I could eat there everyday.

Overall I had a great time, with great people and I can't wait go again.
