Feeling Fall

Walking around the chilly city, I chose an outfit that was easy, warm & cute (which is usually the goal). I wore my favorite oversized jean jacket from Zara over a cozy sweater for extra warmth. I threw on a comfy pair of black, distressed jeggings from Topshop, along with my black Steve Madden booties. To complete the look, I added a patterned scarf from Zara and a hat from Forever 21.
I hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful fall weather as much as I am!

Black on Black & Floral Print

Fall is finally here!! Although it's officially my favorite season, the cool weather hasn't quite arrived yet. Today was in the mid 70's, but the wind picked up later in the day and cooled down the temperature. To go to a quick dinner with friends, I grabbed a pair of black flowy short with crochet detail and paired it with a black high neck tank- both from Tilly's. I threw on a Forever 21 floral button up maxi dress and left the buttons open to create a short sleeve duster look. To finish the look I slipped on a pair of long beige socks and a pair of black knee high boots from target and a black hat from Pacsun.
Hope everyone is having a beautiful day!

70's Vibing

About 2 weeks ago I officially moved into Richmond, Virginia to study fashion merchandising in the arts program at VCU. There is so much to do in the city of Richmond and here at VCU, I have met so many people and I'm loving being here so far.
The temperature is still pretty hot but thankfully today it was a little cooler, gahbless. I'm really into the 70's vibe that's been going on and so today I decided to do denim on denim. I chose to wear a darker/medium wash button up skirt with a lighter wash collard button up crop top. I accessorized this outfit with one of my favorite chunky silver necklaces from forever 21, a black crossbody purse (also from forever 21) and black madden girl booties.
Fall is around the corner and I'm beyond excited because that is one of my favorite season to dress for, plus now that classes have started, I'm way over this heat & humidity.
Also, wanted to wish everyone good luck with going back to school and starting classes!

California dreamin'

A little update on my summer (which is sadly very close to over) after Ocean City I went up to NYC for two weeks to intern at my Aunts showroom. I do that internship every summer and as usual it was fun and a great learning experience. I'm very grateful to have that opportunity and to have such an amazing family.

I just recently got home from my first ever trip to California (ugh I'm in love). I traveled across the country with my best friend and was able to crash at a friends place (who I can't thank enough) in San Diego. We tried to explore as much of area as possible in the time we had. We met great people, ate delicious food and had an overall amazing 10 days.

Again, I wasn't able to get a lot of pictures of my outfits so here is my trip summed up as best I could.

A week in OC

This past week I was in Ocean City, Maryland with a couple of my closet friends to celebrate finally graduating high school. Our stay was only 4 days but we were able to do so many things while we were there and made the most of the short time we had. One of the girls I went on the trip with used to live in the area so we were able to stay with one of her friends for the time we were there. I wasn't able to get many outfit picture so I'm just going to share a bunch of pictures my beach week.

The trip was so much fun, we got to do so many things, I went parasailing (which is insane because if you knew me, you'd know I'm such a baby when it comes to things like that. But with that being said, I was pleasantly surprised to find it was not scary at all, It was actually amazing and definiatly worth it), met a lot cool people and ate delicious food.

Which reminds me, if you're ever in the area, I definitely recommend stopping by the Decatur Diner (a little bit of a drive but totally worth it) for breakfast and ordering "The Corey" (which I'm pretty sure is one of the best things I've eaten) or the Pipeline or honestly anything, It was all so good, and I wish I could eat there everyday.

Overall I had a great time, with great people and I can't wait go again.

Sporting Denim

Having been sick lately (aka laying in bed, aka online shopping, aka going broke), I was beyond excited to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather. I was super excited to wear this outfit because I just recently thrifted both the shirt and skirt from one of my favorite shops downtown "Hooked". I have been loving this denim trend lately and was actually searching for a similar skirt for a while now. I fell in love with the skirt as soon as I saw it and was so relieved when the fit was perfect. The touch of plaid on the front and back pockets made the skirt a bit more unique and I loved that. I also purchased this shirt because I love the 90's vibe of it.

A warm tuesday downtown

After a long day of education, my best friend and I decided to grab some ice cold lemonade from a cafe in town. With the temperature in the 90's I wanted to keep it simple and cool. I threw on a pair of black distressed jean shorts, a lose cropped tank, a pair of sandals and headed out the door. Killing time, we walked into a couple of stores, and I may or may not have impulsively purchased (I mean I couldn't risk someone else buying it? plus I've been searching for something similar for months now, so that makes it okay, at least that's what I'm telling myself) a really cute vintage jean skirt that I'm so so excited to wear and style.
