December Favorites

I decided to start a series of "Five Monthly Favorites". This month's post is shorter with only two items but in the future, my monthly favorites will consist of five items that stood out to me, whether it is clothes, shoes, skin care, or food, the list will vary. I am really excited to give you guys more consistency so stay tuned! Xo

December's Favorites:
#1. Camo Pants
Camo has been trending for a couple seasons now but for some reason, I was having a hard time finding the right pair of camo pants that I loved and were also reasonably priced for a trend piece. I finally came across these Fashion Nova pants and bought them right away. They are perfectly baggy, the right colors, and surprisingly comfortable.

#2. Block Heeled Sock Boots
Another item that was way past due in my closet is these Steve Madden block heeled sock boots. I have no idea what took me so long to make this purchase and all I have to say is if you don't have a pair yet, what the hell are you waiting for? I styled these with my camo pants but they look amazing with almost any outfit. They are the right high heel and sock length, all while being comfortable. While I can't vouch for any other brand's comfort, there are many other places you can find this style shoe. For example Public Desire, Ego, and Simmi

I styled these items together in addition to a basic black turtleneck that I layered with a black teddy top from Victoria's Secret to give the look something extra. I keep the bag small and simple.

Grateful for what 2017 had to offer and I can't wait for what 2018 has in store and to share it with you guys.

happy new year + love always,

Patent Leather Skirt and Velvet Top

Last week marked the official start of fall, however, the weather is still transitioning. With the temperature reaching nearly 90 one day and dropping close to 60 the next, every day I'm reaching into a different part of my closet. On the lucky days that stay around 70, I feel the most inspired. With the right temperature, you can wear those pieces that are a little heavier but don't necessarily cover as much and still be comfortable.

For this outfit I did just that, I grabbed my black patent leather skirt and paired it with a teal velvet crop top. Dark teal is a perfect cool color to make an outfit feel more appropriate for fall. The contrast in fabrics made a huge difference in the outfit for me. I love playing with textures and color, that is what brought me to purchase these pieces to begin with.

I finished the look with a pair of studded white heeled sandals. I recently bought these after window-shopping them for a couple weeks and I'm really happy I did. What I love most about these shoes, is the fact that they are a statement shoe but still extremely wearable. I believe a really good shoe not only can be worn with multiple outfits but also can effortlessly turn a simple outfit into an on-trend look.

I have a lot more fall outfit inspiration and big plans coming soon so stay tuned. For more follow my Instagram @jordanbatitto.

A Quick Trip to Nashville

Recently I took a quick last minute trip (which seems to be my new thing) to Nashville. I stayed at a friends place, who lives in the city, where I was accompanied by my two sisters and best friend. Going into this trip, I was excited to visit a new city but didn't know much about it or what to expect. I spent a couple days before the trip reading about where to go and what to do.

The first thing I have to say about my short trip to Nashville is that I ended up loving the city way more than I expected. The food was amazing, the people were so nice and the city was beautiful. Every corner of Nashville had its own feel to it but all equally amazing.

TUESDAY:
We arrived in Nashville around 6 pm on Tuesday, unpacked, and went straight to dinner. We ate some of the best sushi I've ever had ACME Feed & Seed. I had the Godzilla Roll, which ended up being the tables favorite. It was so good we ended up eating here again on our last day. After dinner, we headed to Jeni's Splendid Ice Cream for some quick desert.

WEDNESDAY:
Our first full day in Nashville started a little rainy, but that didn't stop us from exploring the city. We started our day with some of the most delicious bagel sandwiches I've ever had from Proper Bagel. I ordered the Rachel bagel sandwich that consisted of pastrami, Swiss cheese, and Russian dressing, and it was one of the best things I have ever eaten.

We spent the rest of the day, exploring the city, visiting the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge, and spending the night out on Broadway.

THURSDAY:
On our last day in the city, we begin the day at Three Brothers Coffee. While the coffee was good and the atmosphere was even cuter, the only thing I would have changed would have been my food choice. With their limited lunch food options I should have stuck with one of their pastries rather than their Mediterranean wrap, which wasn't my favorite.
Post-coffee, we headed over to the Parthenon to do some sight seeing, which ended up being right across the street. While we decided to not go in, due to the fee, it was still cool to see the large building with such small detail.

After a quick break (and outfit change), we head back out, did a little shopping then, finally got what I was waiting for the whole trip, Biscuit Love. We got some of their famous Bonuts (Biscuit-Donuts) and they were a m a z i n g. They came in a dish of five, which was the perfect amount, especially if you are sharing, after two I was satisfied.

Later in the day, we went back to ACME to grab some late lunch sushi. We decided to spend some chill time at the apartment and hang with friends for a while before going to a late dinner to fit in the last spot on our food list- Hattie B's Hot Chicken. And as most places, the food tasted just as good as expected.

Overall, I had an amazing time in Nashville and I'm hoping to make a second trip at the end of the summer because I can't seem to stay away, so stay tuned. I hope you enjoyed this post, I know it was a more lengthy than my past travel post, but I wanted to give a better day-by-day explanation of my trip and my opinions of the places I visited.
Keep following my blog for more travel and fashion.

Spring Break '17

4 days before spring break, my plans were to do absolutely nothing and enjoy the hell out of it. 3 days before spring break, my friends and I found a really good deal at a resort in Orlando, Florida and booked it that day. The following monday we drove 13 hours to Central Florida, unpacked and made the most of our week. Making a couple day trips to near by beaches, visiting downtown Disney, and eating lots of good food. Although, I didn't take as many pictures as I wish I would have, here are a few to visually summarize (most) of my trip.
