March Favorites

With school getting busy and midterms and spring break taking up the last few weeks in March, this post got pushed a little far back. Spending most of my money on plane tickets and Airbnbs, I haven't been trying lots of new products or buying new clothes so most of my favorites have stayed the same. However, I still want to tell you guys about what I have been loving and I may have treated myself a couple times once or twice to something new so with that being said...

Here are my (better late than never) March favorites!

1. Trend: Ankle/Calf Socks

This has been a trend for a while now, but recently, that is all I can get on my feet. It is the easiest and simplest way to keep your outfit interesting with a little bit of edge. Currently, I am wearing my puma socks on repeat because that is all I have in my closet abroad. However, white Nike socks are always classic and I've also seen some at stores like Zara with cute little sayings on them.

Outfit #1 Details:
T-Shirt: H&M
Shorts: Pacsun
Socks: Puma
Sneakers: Bershka
Bag: Target

Outfit #2 Details:
Dress: Zara
Socks: Puma
Sneakers Bershka
Bag: Nordstrom

2. Blue Lagoons of Cyprus

During spring break, my friends and I went to Greece and Cyprus, we had a great time in both places, however, my favorite day of the trip was spent in Cyprus. The first day in Paphos, I'm not going to lie, I was a little underwhelmed. We stayed local, we tried the beach but it was a little too cold with the wind and ended up laying by the apartment's pool and later hanging out at a local bar. It wasn't until the second day in Cyprus (and the last full day of our trip) we decided to take a 30-40 minute taxi ride to Lachi Port, where we took a 3-hour boat tour of the Blue Lagoons and fell in love with the island. From the restaurant filled port to Aphrodite's Bath, we soaked up the sun on the roof of the boat and even took a little dip in the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean. This was definitely my favorite part of the trip ~ you know what they say ~ boat days are the best days.

3. Trend: Gold Jewelry

I have always chosen gold or silver and it has always been a favorite of mine. However, since gold jewelry, particularly hoops and pendant necklaces have been in trend for a little bit now, I figured I'd add it to my favorites list. I definitely love and an active participant in both the hoop and pendant necklace trend, I especially love really big hoops and layering my necklaces.
I decided to add this to my March monthly favorites because while in Greece, we stumbled upon a bunch of really cute jewelry stores. While some shops were way out of my price range, there were a few that had extremely reasonably priced jewelry. At one store, I decided to treat myself to some cheap BUT good quality jewelry that won't turn my skin green (which is always the goal). I bought a pair of really cute earrings and a pendant necklace, that I haven't taken off. The only thing I am not loving completely is the earings, while they are so so cute, they are a bit thicker than my normal earnings, so they tend to make my ears a bit sore. Other than that, I'm am really happy with my purchase. Yeah, the earings hurt to put in my ears, but they're cute, they were only 3 euro and they won't turn my ear green.

Where they are from:
Round Pendant Necklace: A Jewelry Store in Crete, Greece
Rectangular Pendant Necklace: Princess P. Jewelry
Small Hoops: Jewelry Store in Crete, Greece
Large Hoops: Forever 21

4. Amazon Bathing Suits

I have an upcoming video that is supposed to be posted sometime this month with an entire review of my bathing suits from Amazon but for this post, I will keep it short and simple. I am balling on a budget and until I am not, I am here for cheap amazon swimsuits.

5. The Weeknd's New Album "My Dear Melancholy"

As I am sure you all know by now, The Weeknd released some new music a week or so ago and it's great. I used to be a huge fan of The Weeknd until he became more mainstream and his music changed. However, his most recent release feels a lot more like his old stuff aka I have it on repeat.

Spring as officially begun, and I'm hoping this warm weather comes quick!

Stay tuned for my April Favorites!

Spring Break '18 Visual Diary: Greece + Cyprus

Being abroad, I have close access to some of the most beautiful places for so cheap. About a week ago I came back from my week-long spring break trip. While planning the trip, our main goal was to escape Florence's cold and rainy weather. So we tried to go as south as possible while staying within our budget. We knew we wanted to stop in Greece, so we chose the southernmost island, Crete. Next, we viewed our options of what was flying out of Crete mid-week, and stumbled across Cyprus, an Island in the Mediterranean, right under Turkey. It was cheap and warm so we bought our tickets and packed our bags. Our itinerary was to stay in Chania, Crete from Sunday-Thursday and then head to Paphos, Cyprus for Thursday-Sunday. Our transportation and stay totaled around 300 euros, which was well worth the price.

My favorite day of this trip was Saturday, which was our last full day. We took a taxi ride 30-40 minutes north of Paphos to Lachi Port, where we hopped on a boat tour to the Blue Lagoons of Cyrpus. It was insanely beautiful, the water was crystal clear and we got to see Aphrodite's Bath along with other landmarks. Keep scrolling to see all the pictures from that day.

Here is a Visual Diary of my trip, Greece + Cyprus...

February Favorites

This has been my first official month living in Florence. Adjusting was a little difficult at first, but now I feel way more comfortable with the culture change and my surroundings. The city is beautiful! I have also been very lucky to explore other cities, inside and outside of Italy, including Venice, Rome, and Barcelona. February was my birthday month and I feel so lucky and blessed to be where I am, celebrating my 21st birthday with amazing people, in beautiful cities.

I have also been really excited about some spring/summer trends and I can't wait for the weather to warm up.

~I have a little surprise as well, so keep reading!~

With that being said, these are my February favorites...

#1. Barcelona, Spain

Out of all the beautiful cities, I have visited this month, Barcelona was my favorite. It was warmer than the rest which made for a nice break from the cold. However, it was more than about being warm, I loved how it was a little bit of everything. There was the beach, the city, and even some mountains to hike up and get a good view. The food was yummy and the people I came across were all really nice. The city was clean and didn't feel super crowded. I'm definitely going to do my best to get another weekend there before I leave.

#2. Straw/Basket Purses

A spring/summer trend I am really excited about. I think they are so cute and perfect for pulling an outfit together. The straw exterior makes the style of the bag super season appropriate. While I haven't gotten my hands on one of my own (yet) here are a few that I love.

[left to right]

1. Revolve JADEtribe Basket Small Fringed

2. Top Shop Barbar Straw Circle Cross Body Bag

3. Zara Polka Dot Raffia Basket

#3. Tassel Earrings

Another s/s trend I'm here for. I've been really into statement earrings in general. However, recently I have been playing it safe with metals, so I'm excited to explore some color. You can find them almost everywhere. I have a bunch of trips planned on the coast, so stay tuned to see how I style them!

[left to right]

1. H&M Earrings

2. Forever 21 Half-Moon Drop Earrings

3. Topshop Rhinestone Tassel Drop Earrings

#4.  S n e a k e r s

My love for sneakers is nothing new but for those who don't know that about me, now ya know. While I haven't been able to treat myself to as many pairs as I would prefer (because trust me if I had the money, I would need a whole closet dedicated to them) I still love to admire. Here are a few that are on my wishlist.

[left to right]

1. Kith Nike WMNS Air Huarache City

2. Gucci Rhyton sneaker in leather with Gucci logo

3. Footlocker Nike Air Max 95

#5. MY YOUTUBE CHANNEL

I am so excited to finally announce my youtube channel!! It is something I have been thinking about doing for a while now and finally got the courage to do it. I have been working on my channel all month and already have a couple videos up so check them out! I have been nervous about announcing my channel because while I am proud to have the content I have up, I know I have a lot of improving to do. I am still new to this and still learning but I am excited to get better and put out more content. I hope you guys like what I have up now but stay tuned for lots of travel vlogs, fashion and lifestyle videos!

Hope everyone had a good February!
